WORST COACHELLA FASHION CRIMES

Coachella went from being a cool hunters heaven, to a trashy trailer park fashion show. I don't really like the outfits celebrities are wearing this year, it looks like H&M exploded in the dessert. Too many wanna be hippies with no taste at all. I don't get why whenever there is a music festival, people wanna pretend that is Woodstock, but they just end up doing a confused hipster version of it. Now I really understand why celebrities need a stylist, if they don't have one, they just go totally insane.

ELECTRO CUMBIA- THE NEW SOUNDS OF LATIN AMERICA

Latin America is having a major evolution right now, both economically and artistically. In the music world we are definitely changing, adapting to the modern sounds of electronic while still keeping our ethnic roots. ZZK is an Argentinian group of cumbia-electro that shows through music the changes in taste and ways of thinking that a young latin america is having in 2013.

FRIDA KAHLO’S CLOSET EXPOSED IN MEXICO

When the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo died, her husband Diego Rivera ordered that all of her clothes should be locked for 15 years. Now her legendary wardrobe is on display in her former house La Casa Azul in Mexico City. The exhibit is called Appearances can be Deceiving and is divided in two parts disability and ethnicity. Frida has to be my favorite Latin American fashion icon because of the way she stayed true to her Mexican roots, and how she showed her soul and her spirit throughout every detail of her clothes.

YOUNG ARTIST IN MUSIC - NEW TALENTS

I have to say that maybe Im super backward in everything and Im just discovering this young generation of international artists, or they are just coming out, but these three talented individuals have totally blown my mind this week. Im totally digging their music, their style and their personalities.

EARL SWEATSHIRT-WHOA

I loooooooove this guy, he is so hilarious and he's music is totally funky, i just really like the way he makes fun of himself and love his trashy-trailor park hip hop.

Whoa

DENA- CASH, DIMOND RINGS, SWIMMING POOLS

Even though her style reminds me a bit of M.I.A, she still has a nice vibe and i really like her goofy- positive attitude.

Cash, Diamond Rings, Swimming Pools (acoustic)

SKY FERREIRA- EVERYTHING IS EMBARRASSING

Love this song because is a mixture of 80s beats with a touch of 90s but her style is totally 2013, so she is all about clashing; mixing everything together to make a new sound, a new taste, a new color.

Everything is Embarrassing

THE COLORS OF NIKY ROEHREKE

รง

Collages combined with paintings and drawings. Niky Roehreke, graphic designer and Central Saint Martin´s graduated, says that "flee market´s are a great source of inspiration". I discoverd her while I was searching for fashion illustrators and I immediately fell in love with her work. As a fashion designer I can relate to her point of view because it really tell´s a story and reflects the spirit of the post-modern time we are living in.

Making a fashion illustration friday night. Yeiiiii im such a NERD!

SKULLS AND ROSES

OK, so I havent been blogging for like a thousand years, but  I decided to make a come back since there is a serious need of a fresh start in my life. I just started second year in fashion design at the Istituto Europeo di Design and for one of our first lessons we were free to do whatever we wanted because the teacher wanted to see where our creative instinct took us. I made this kind of rock n roll mood board, I guess my mood right now is skulls and roses.

THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT VERSAILLES

Maria Antoinette, Sophia Coppola, John Galliano and Karl Lagerfeld are only a handful of the very fashionable personalities that have walked the halls of the Chateau de Versailles.  This beautiful palace, home to the last Dauphin of France, has been the set of many contemporary films, advertisement, and fashion editorials. The latest fashion event held in the gardens of the palace was the Chanel Cruise 2013 collection a few days ago. This post is dedicate to my top Versailles fashion moments.

When John Galliano was still king he presented an amazing Haute Couture show inspired by the impressionist and modern painters. It was the held in the palace of Versailles and was part of the celebration for the designer´s 10th year anniversary with the house of Dior.

Video of the Collection

And last but not least, Sophia Coppolla and her divine Marie Antoinette film played by Kirsten Dunst.I think I have watched that film about 20 times in my life.
